The event will feature readings by a sampling of writers published in the upcoming issue, including Adam Day, Ashley Farmer, Joshua Fischer, and Joanna Englert.

On Thursday, August 7th at 7 PM Carmichael's welcomes Minnesota native Alan Grostephan for a reading from his taut and moving novel Bogota. Named one of the best ten books of fiction of 2013 by The Wall Street Journal, Bogota is also long-listed for the Pen/Robert W. Bingham Prize. Mr. Grostephan will be joined by former Louisvillian Ashley Farmer who will read from her new collection of stories Beside Myself. Ms. Farmer currently serves as managing editor for Juked and lives in Southern California. We hope you'll be able to join us!
