The women harvest hops over at Hobart
Many thanks to Elizabeth Ellen for including my pieces.
Thanks, Vouched.
Thank you to the kind folks at Vouched for shouting about The Women project.
Mellow Pages Library and Reading Room
Farm Town and other Rust Belt Bindery projects made their way to Mellow Pages Library and Reading Room in Bushwick. If I lived on the other coast, I'd spend all my time there. Check out this Time Out New York profile on their innovative project, and if you're in Brooklyn, you should stop in, grab a beer, and read a book or two or three or more...
Black Lawrence Press--The Sapling
The Sapling, the excellent weekly "writer's guide to the small press industry", featured side-by-side interviews of Ryan and I today (2/19). It's a great publication that helps readers discover contests, new presses, lit journals, and emerging writers. So grateful to be included. Check them out or subscribe over here.
Thrilled to be reading here at AWP (and in such good company). Join us?
Boston in the springtime?
I'll be reading at AWP in Boston and I'm excited about that. (Time/place TBA).
Tiny Hardcore Press Featured on Banango Lit!
I was excited to read this piece over at Banago Street that features Tiny Hardcore Press. In it, Roxane Gay discusses indie presses, how and why she does what she does at THP, and the challenges editors face in shuttling books into the world. Very grateful to have a future project with them--and thankful that she (and many other indie publishers) do what they do for us readers and writers.
Rust Belt Bindery in the News!
The Forum of Fargo-Moorhead published an excellent piece on Rust Belt Bindery founder/artist Meredith Lynn (collaborator and publisher of Farm Town). In it, she explains how the press came together, what they're committed to doing, and what they have brewing. Check it out here.

Tyler Gobble takes his Vouched Books summer road trip to Louisville (and I soul travel 2,000 miles to meet him there)
Tyler Gobble--friend, writer, and friend to writers pretty much everywhere--visited my hometown of Louisville, KY as part of his summer Vouched on the Road tour. In this post/interview, I share some Derby City recollections (and some recordings of KY-inspired pieces)--and he shares his experience (+ snapshots) of the local goodness.

Specter Lit Podcast + "Hot Women"
Dirk Walker at the excellent Specter Magazine was kind enough to read my piece "Hot Women" in their most recent Specter Lit Podcast. You can stream the episode or check out their iTunes podcast page for hot podcasts past.
Wigleaf Top 50 (Very) Short Fiction
Thank you very much to the folks at Wigleaf and to Dan Chaon (and co.) for including my story about gymnastics in the 2012 Top 50 (Very) Short Fiction list. (And here I never even learned how to cartwheel).
Hey, it's America
Rust Belt Bindery is releasing Ryan Ridge's/Genevieve Lawrence's art book entitled Hey, it's America this week. It's a handmade stunner and a wild story. Do your patriotic duty and check it out over here.
